Drury Associates Limited use Delphi for much of their system development. Delphi is object Pascal, "Made in Borland". We've chosen Delphi as it is fully compiled, fast, thoroughly reliable and if we can criticise it, that would only be for being one of the best kept secrets in the industry!
Drury Associates Limited use and recommend Advantage Database Server from Extended Systems. Why? It is fully scaleable, incredibly reliable, fast, easy to use (maybe we shouldn't let on?!) and has never let us down. The single user licence is free. For multi-user sites, the price is as good as you'll get from any of the competitors. It doesn't need maintenance - DB Administrators are an expense no longer needed! Another substantial reason why we use it is because the guys at Extended Systems are really brilliant and provide a world class level of support.
For Browsers and Email, Drury use Mozilla products - FireFox and Thunderbird.
A current Drury project is maintenance of British Triathlon's Grand Prix Series National Rankings. Our D-Sport division carries out this work using Titan, our race administration and management product.
We also work with triathlon clubs - Thames Turbo Triathlon, Crystal Palace Triathletes and Greenwich Tritons.
